Assignment 2
Brief
The platform game should have at least 5 levels/rooms and one
main character. There should also be multiple enemies you have to kill/avoid.
The main protagonist is going to be called Vincent and he
will face the night time terrors that invade his sleep. He is trapped inside of
his own nightmare and if he dies in the nightmare he dies in real life. There
will be five different dream stages (levels), one for each night. If you escape the
fifth night you will be free from the nightmares forever.
Sprites:
The pixel size is 32 by 32
Vincent is the name of the main character and he has to avoid
enemies called Swifts, Night Terrors and Dream Clouds.
(Swifts | Enemies – sheep who try to stop you from escaping
the nightmare. If you escape the nightmare, they all die).
(Dream clouds | Clouds that float above you which fire sleep
bubbles at you – makes you freeze in place so that the swifts can attack you).
(Night terrors | help the swifts)
(Flashlight | to help you light up darkened areas).
(Ashildr | woman who is also trying to escape the nightmare).
(StarShines | Stars which you have to collect in order to
destroy the clouds that block you from leaving the nightmare).
(X-Terminator | this is the weapon that Taris uses. It was
given to him by Ashildr. The weapon can only kill Night terrors and Swifts,
Dream clouds are invincible).
These sprites will be created in GameMaker.
Rated: Pegi 7 – There is not a lot of violence so it is
suitable for a younger audience.
